(May 19, 2011) –Two new eCourses, eCourse # 2 Basic Accounting for Project Managers and eCourse #3 Basic Accounting: The Practical Application, have been released by ZweigWhite. These are a part in a large series of approximately 36 eCourses being released over the next year. The courses feature video commentary from industry and ZweigWhite experts. The most recently released courses are designed and presented by Stephen C. Evans, AIA, who has more than 25 years of experience in the architecture industry. Evans worked at HOK Sport (now called Populous) in Kansas City, where he served as Senior Project Manager for major sports facilities, later became Director of Risk Management at HOK’s Corporate Legal Department in St. Louis, and then a Senior Vice President and Regional Director of Operations for HOK’s North Central Region. Evans is a member of the Advisory Board for the University of Kansas School of Architecture, Design and Planning, and also holds Bachelor of Environmental Design and Bachelor of Architecture degrees from this University. Basic Accounting for Project Managers has an overview of A/E/P accounting principles, terms and practical applications. According to Steve Evans, “This is one of several courses dealing with the more technical side of project management that complements what would be considered areas of leadership and roles and responsibilities. Our eLearning program for project management as a whole will be broad in scope and touch the most critical and relevant areas of practice.” Basic Accounting: The Practical Application puts the concepts from eCourse #2 into practice and explains the nuances of Accrual-Basis Accounting. When speaking of both courses, Evans said, “Although these courses are titled ‘basic’ accounting, they also will serve well as refresher courses for more experienced project managers, while providing a foundation for future courses including project work planning.” Earlier this month eCourse #1 Managing Project Communications, was released. Each course is one hour long, has AIA approval, and is worth one continuing education Learning Unit. The flash movie format has open entry/exit for learning at any pace and the ability to reference at any time. For more information on ZweigWhite eLearning visit www.zweigwhite.com/elearning
